Bash Down the Door and Slice Open the Badguy! - an anthology for which Kevin wrote the humorous fantasy story, "The Order of the Crimson Tunic":

Jo Ann's Crafts

Here are some examples of the crafts. Jo Ann likes to mix up craft techniques and materials in many of her projects.

The first craft is Crocheting. Jo Ann taught herself this craft because Jo Ann's mother was right-handed. As we all know, it is very hard to teach someone of a different handedness crafts like Crocheting and Knitting. Here are two pictures of the different crochet quilts using various cotton yarn products. She first started making quilts using Red Heart Acrylic Yarn. The scarf is made from a Red Heart Plush.

The second craft is called Quilling which is the art of twirling paper. While trying to get over some bad times after the death of Jo Ann's father, she started to do her crafts on a more full time basis. Kevin and Jo Ann received as a present their hand quilled wedding invitation and due to the TV channel, DIY, Jo Ann started quilling. Since Jo Ann did not have a book on the subject, she used whatever was at hand. This included an old paper shreder that makes long strips. Jo Ann found the quilling tool at the Michael's Art and Craft Store while taking Jo Ann's mother for lunch.

The third craft is called Card Making which in itself is very boring. Jo Ann has tried to put her own spin on the subject by using various other crafts like cross stitching and other materials like ribbons and yarn. While doing this Jo Ann added two other forms of art, teabag folding and iris folding, that she learned at the local Michael's Art and Craft Store. Jo Ann also added the art of origami which is the ancient Japanese art of paper folding to the mix and she came up with the last example.

Hope you enjoy these and inspire you.
